Amoofy was conceptualized in 2018 when our founders' father had an accident that nearly took his life (he has since recovered).  This event was the inspiration to ethically and safely design something to preserve his legacy and advice through his stories.

Amoofy (pronounced: A.muh.fai) stands for "A Moment of You".

It is a platform to effortlessly capture prompted or free flow conversations. Prompted topics include childhood, adolescence, adult life, work, money, relationships, etc. Amoofy allows the creation of a private "community". As a private network, you get to choose who is able to access such recordings. You and your community will only need to enter a few sentences about the topic discussed or a key word in the conversation to access specific content.

Imagine you had conversations about happiness with your children, your partner, and your parents or siblings and they are were recorded in Amoofy. Those conversations happened at different times and are making your library grow its "community wisdom". At any given moment you might search for: how does my community define happiness? Amoofy will bring you those recorded "moments".

Have you seen photo collages? Especially those images made up of thousands of small photos? Imagine that instead of those small photos, they are now stories, moments that you or your community have recorded (even that 15 second recording while watching a soccer game of one of your children when you said to her: "I am very proud of you") and is available for her, for you, and for your chosen community. Amoofy is also a place where we can build memories to gift to loved ones and also provide them with advice and stories. Hoping to have a clear understanding of where we come from, why our values are what they are, what drives us, and who are we.

Amoofy allows you to build an intentional and structured legacy for your future generations. Privacy and security are core to its design given what is required to steward authentic personal stories through generations. Amoofy is not about counting "likes", it is about reconnecting with the people close to you.
